US-Made Cast Iron, Cookware & Kitchen Knives
Why US-made matters
Foundry and factory locations—South Pittsburg, TN; Canonsburg, PA; Olean, NY; Waverly, IA; Victor, ID; Charleston, SC; and Field’s Midwest production (Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin)—make replacement parts, seasoning culture, and warranty paths clearer. Cast iron and knives are long-ownership categories. Origin claims should match what the brand actually discloses, including qualified “with global components” language when that is the truth.
How we verify
- Brand manufacturing, about, and materials pages
- Lodge: seasoned cast iron only (not imported Essential Enamel lines)
- All-Clad D3: qualified only—USA bonded/engineered/assembled with global components
- Buying from the brand or a specialty retailer usually gives clearer country-of-origin information than a big marketplace
Everyday cast iron
Heat retention, pre-seasoned surfaces, and foundry-made durability at accessible prices. We list the skillet and the Dutch oven separately.
Premium smooth cast iron
Machine-polished or hand-finished surfaces for people who want less initial stick and a finer cooking feel than classic sand-cast texture.
Bonded stainless
Even heat and bonded construction for stove-to-oven cooking. Origin must stay qualified.
All-Clad D3 longer note: All-Clad D3 earns its place on heat distribution and bonded stainless durability — not on an unqualified Made-in-USA materials claim. Brand materials pages describe US bonding/engineering/assembly with global components. We never describe D3 as all-or-virtually-all US content.
Kitchen knives
Everyday value, heirloom warranty sets, and premium American-steel chef knives.
